Love and Friendship

Today my parents are celebrating their anniversary. I just found out that they bought each other the EXACT same GPS. I guess great minds really do think alike! I wished them many more years of happiness together with this card using my Denami Designs Elegant Floral Wreath. It only took me two years, but it finally dawned on me that I can use my Cuttlebug border folders on both the top and bottom of my cards! Duh!
I also made this cute thank you card for a dear friend and fellow lunch mom. The hot chocolate stamp is a random one that I received for free when I placed a large on-line somewhere. Sadly, I don't remember the website, but I was happy to put it to good use. A perfect card for February in Chicago - although you wouldn't know it. We are expecting temperatures in the high 40's tomorrow!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sydney and I were busy working away on valentines this weekend. I used my new Close to My Heart Tic Tac Toe set to make these adorable cards. I made a smaller version to use as tags for teacher gifts. As a former teacher, I realize that they get lots of chocolate for Valentine's Day. I thought cupcake liners would be a nice change of pace. Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh Babies!

Many of our friends are welcoming new babies into their families. I made these adorable onesie cards for all of the adorable babies on the way. I used the Denami Designs Sheep along with the Petite Patterns set from Stampin' Up. To make the neck and leg holes and trim, I used the SU Scalloped Circle punch along with a one inch circle punch.

On another note, I finally got to play with one of my Christmas gifts today. My husband surprised me with a Mini Photo Studio from Kaezi. It is a little portable desktop light box studio that comes with lights and a tripod. It has a nice nylon carrying case, and it also has four different backgrounds to choose from: white, black, blue, and red. I will have to play around and experiment with different backgrounds and lighting.

Happy Holidays 2011

I was inspired to create a bird themed holiday card by all of the time I spent watching and feeding my feathered friends from my sun room this year. I used my Stampin' Up Two-step Bird Punch to create this darling little guy. If you notice, I punched out two wings so that I could use one to form the crest on the top of his head. I just drew in his 'mask' with a Sharpe marker. I thought the holly Cuttlebug embossing edge was a perfect accent for my winter bird. I wish you and your family a very happy holiday and a blessed 2012!

Birthday Blessings!

Both of my Grandmas live in Phoenix, and both have birthdays in December. I was happy to beat the Christmas rush at the post office to send out their gifts. I made them matching cards for their special days. I used my Stampin' Up Create a Cupcake set and punch. I wish I could be in sunny Phoenix to share a real cupcake with them. Happy Birthday Grammy and Nana! I love you!

Special Occasions

Wedding bells and baby bottles are on the agenda today. Congratulations to my Uncle Dan and my new Aunt Karen on their wedding this past weekend. My card features a Leafy Vine Wreath and Curly Dove from the fabulous Denami Designs. I accented the wreath with baby blue pearls and rhinestones for some added elegance. Best wishes to my cousin Paul and his wife, Amanda, who are expecting their first baby...a girl obviously! I used the adorable Stampin' Up I'm Here stamp set. Since Baby isn't here quite yet, I opted for an Oh Baby! sentiment instead. Isn't the SU Scallop Dots ribbon a must have? I think I bought it in every color they made!

Sweet Peas

Mike and Kristin's Sweet Peas shower was a huge success. Now we are all anxiously awaiting the safe arrival of the twins - but we don't want them to come too soon! Here are some of the goodies the girls and I created for the parents-to-be. I guess we can't take credit for the cake though. My mom and Deerfield's Bakery get the accolades for that! The envelopes for the thank you cards are pre-addressed, stamped and ready to go. For favors, we used Sweet Pea scented hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works. Did you notice that the corsage is made out of teeny tiny baby socks? How cute it that!?!? Enjoy your peace and quiet while you still can, Mike and Kristin!
